Coronavirus Update from Titan Storage

At Titan Storage we have always been fully committed to the care of both our customers and our team and are pleased to confirm that we will remain open during this difficult time.

This is in line with the government’s announcement that storage facilities are to stay open because our stores provide an essential service to many key supply chains that are necessary in the battle to contain the spread of COVID19.  At Titan Storage these include services for the NHS and community food banks and distribution services which are needed now more than ever.

We are also aware that many of our customers will continue to need help at this time, both existing customers and others who find themselves in need of essential storage during the many challenging situations being created by the COVID19 pandemic.  And with the opening of estate agents and house moves going ahead we know that those who are moving house may need our help to facilitate their move in the best way possible.

Our stores are open and we are here to help.

As you can imagine we are operating differently at this time. In-line with the government advice we’ve installed social distancing measures and signage throughout our stores. With the eased lockdown our staff members will be present on-site in the reception to help new and current customers alike, all we ask is that only one customer be present in the reception area at a time.

Current customers

For existing customers, you can still access our stores 24 hours a day and all contact points such as keypads, handles, and surfaces are regularly cleaned. Furthermore, all our stores have toilet facilities which are cleaned regularly and are fully stocked with hand cleaning products.

New customers

For new customers, you will still be able to move-in during office hours, staff will be present in the reception area with social distancing measures in place, we are asking for only one customer at any one time in the reception. Please call your local store if you have any questions.

Our stores are not high footfall premises, all customers are free to access their units when they want, we ask that you continue to observe social distancing and hand hygiene in line with government guidelines. These measures, if observed correctly, should ensure risk of transmission is minimal.

Additional store measures

We’ve installed social distancing signage throughout our stores, additional sanitiser points have been installed as well as disinfectant being available to wipe down contact areas (keypads, door handles, lift buttons etc).

We understand that we are facing unsettling times so if any of our customers have any questions, no matter how small, then please do feel free to contact us – we’re still open and on hand to help.

FAQs

Below are some of the most commonly asked questions we are getting from customers. Please feel free to give the store a call prior to your visit / reservation to answer any questions you may have.

 

Can I wash my hands when on site?

Yes, all of our stores have customer toilet facilities that are fully stocked with anti-bacterial soap. Furthermore, all customer contact points are regularly being disinfected.

 

Can I still have items delivered to the store?

Yes, If you are a Titan customer you can still have deliveries to the store. Due to the measures we have in place to protect staff and customers, delivery drivers will not have access to reception so we will ask them to leave your delivery in the loading bay area. Our staff will then call you when a delivery has arrived.

 

Can I take out a new storage unit?

Yes, we are still open due to being on the government’s list of businesses to remain open. We understand that a number of people will need urgent storage space during this period so we are here to help. All of our stores are operating with social distancing so this means your move-in will be completed remotely and clear instructions will be provided by our team to help you easily move into your new storage unit.

Can I still reserve a storage unit for a future date?

Yes, we are open as usual so our team of storage experts can recommend the best size for your individual requirements over the phone and get this booked in for your required start date, giving you peace of mind your unit is ready to go (you won’t start paying until you move-in). Call your closest store now to reserve a unit or reserve online.

 

Are the store access times affected?

No, you can still access your goods 24/7 by using your unique access code. Our staff are also still available during our standard reception opening hours so we’re still here to help.

 

How many people are usually on site at any one time – Are there peak times / busier times where everyone should be a little more cautious?

Numbers of customers on site can differ per store but we usually see a higher level of activity at the start and end of each working day. All of our customers have been briefed on what precautions to take and we have additional signage and measures in place at stores.

 

How many staff are on site?

We have one member of staff on site during our normal reception opening hours. We’ve re-opened our reception area, we’re asking that only one customer enters the reception at a time.

 

Will someone be available If I can’t access my storage unit?

Our teams are still here to help. During reception hours a member of staff will be onsite to lend a hand. Outside of reception hours our usual emergency procedures are still operational.

 

How do I access my storage for the first time?

Once you have decided that you wish to take on a storage unit you will be emailed a copy of our storage agreement via DocuSign. We will also require you to send us 2 forms of ID via email. Once the contract has been signed a member of our team will contact you to set up your access code, give you your unit number and arrange payment of your first month’s rental. You will also be issued a guide on how to access the facility and how to find your unit. Your unit will be left unlocked and a lock will be left inside which will allow you to secure your goods.

Store cleaning – Are the trolleys / lifts / keypads cleaned?

The team member on site has been tasked with cleaning all access keypads, lift buttons, trolley handles and door handles as often as possible but a minimum of 3 times per day. Our kitchens and toilets are being deep cleaned daily.
